Salmon Arm, B.C. – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks have traded forward Nick Wellenreiter (’06) to the Sherwood Park Crusaders for future considerations.
Wellenreiter signed with the Silverbacks in the offseason and has played in 25 games, scoring 4 goals and adding 4 assists for 8 points. The University of Maine commit played with the Bishop Kearney Selects 16U AAA team before coming to the BCHL, putting up 92 points in 59 games.
“This move allows Nick to go to a great program with a new opportunity,” said Silverbacks GM, Brooks Christensen. “Nick has competed everyday with our organization and his dedication has not gone unnoticed. We wish him all the best with Sherwood Park!”
